As of 2022, There are over 9.6 million elevators in operation within China, primarily residential (75%) and commercial (25%), however, many elevators do not have batteries to store kinetic energy from the lift back into electrical energy, which has the potential for large savings on electricity within China.
Each residential elevator consumes an average of 30-40 kWh/day, and commercial elevators consume an average of 60-80 KWh/day.
NTO Battery can reduce the energy consumed from each elevator by up to 50% by converting kinetic and heat energy into electrical energy to be stored in the battery
With an average cost of 0.96 RMB per KWH, and an average elevator consuming around 40KWh, we can save around 20KWH per day which is around 7,300 RMB per year.
With a life cycle of minimum 10 years, we can save in total up to 73,000 RMB in electricity costings.
In the event of power failure, store electricity within the battery will allow the elevator continue operation during outages
More than 10 years of service lifetime
No impact on the power grid and pollution
The comprehensive power saving rate is about 46% (not included in the energy-saving data of the air conditioning in the machine room)
A motor energy recovery system has been installed, and the resistance temperature is room temperature 27.4℃
No motor energy recovery system is installed, and the resistance temperature is as high as 80℃
